With
over 40 remote locations, LPS maintains a Wide Area Network comprised
of 50 T-1 lines, Cisco routers and switches, enhanced Category 5 cable,
fiber optic lines and numerous servers.
Staying
connected throughout the LPS District is important to employees and
students alike.

Providing
staff with e-mail, intranet/internet access, decentralized data storage,
shared data volumes and license-based program sharing, the WAN services
provide the backbone to LPS technology.
Students
enjoy the benefits of the Internet as a research tool to assist with
projects and studying, while the LPS administration and staff communicate
and share files and thoughts securely and reliably.

Working
in close conjunction with the computer department, the WAN services
sprout newly connected workstations each day and continues to grow each
year. The services make it possible to communicate both internally and
on the web with both members of the LPS family and our community.
