The Lawton Public Schools Technology Center provides several intranet services to simplify the dispersement of information and work requests. Available on the LPS Intranet are the LPS Work Order Submittal and Tracking System, News and Information, User Forums, Virus Utilities and various downloads and updates.

Electronic Work Order System : This service is designed to allow users in each building throughout our district to submit work requests using a simple online form and have it routed to the appropriate department where it can then be tracked by the submitter for progress checkups and estimated performance schedules.

Virus alerts can also be issued through the system, and removal utilites are provided at no cost to the schools.

The LPS Technology Forum is a users group for the building technology representatives that acts as a continuous question/answer forum. Users may log into the system and post questions relevant to LPS Technology, computers, networking, software, hardware, policy and Internet usage and have them answered by authorized Technology Center employees for everyone to see.

As part of our continued effort to keep the District informed, we have a subscriber-based newsgroup that sends out late-notice bulletins and virus warnings. Accompanying the newsgroup subscription is a monthly Technology Newsletter that gives computer maintenance tips, meeting dates and addresses of each of our internal intranet services.
