Comprised of 27 educational sites in the heart of Southwest Oklahoma, this Premier school district operates on four guiding Principles: Preparing Career Bound Citizens; sharing professional ideals; promoting healthy lifestyles; and advocating communication, collaboration and transparency. Lawton Public Schools is Oklahoma’s ninth largest district and serves approximately 15,000 students.
Investing in both student and teacher, Lawton Public Schools sets the standard of academic excellence in Southwest Oklahoma. In keeping with the mission of preparing career-bound citizens, LPS offers a wide-range of extra-curricular activities, community partnership opportunities and topics of study at each grade level.
The recent passing of the $99.5 million Lawton Student Investment Program bond shows the unwavering support for students. The current projects – replacement of Eisenhower Middle School, addition of functional safe rooms in seven elementaries, upgrades in areas of technology and equipment, as well as, new textbooks for four core subjects areas – are all possible because of the commitment from our community.
Committed to excellence and education, educators, parents and partners proudly unite each day in the common goal of exhilarating and motivating young minds.
